It was such a blast shooting these Austin engagement portraits but it also has personal meaning for me. Wes is my (much taller) younger brother. It’s been a running joke in the family that he’s the “biggest little brother ever.” After getting engaged in January and deciding on a May 2015 wedding, Wes and Carisa asked if I would shoot their engagement session to which I replied, “Yes!” I couldn’t say, “Yes!” enough. I packed up my gear and my ridiculously adorable dog and headed off to Austin for the weekend. I’d only been to Austin a handful of times and wasn’t sure where to photograph but after being there not even a day, we found plenty of spots! It was hard narrowing them down! We decided on the “You’re My Butter Half” mural on MLK Blvd, the ever famous Mount Bonnell with amazing views and the Capitol at night. Luckily Michelle at Peyronet Photography will be photographing the wedding while I fulfill my bridesmaid duties!
