Lena Pope Chapel + YWCA Wedding – Katelyn + Greg
Where do I start? Well, first of all I’m pretty crazy about these two. We met last summer and spent a fabulous Texas fall afternoon together during their engagement session. Check it out here. Katelyn had big plans for their New Years Eve wedding and it was truly a night to remember! We met early in the day and got ready at the YWCA. Katelyn was just so relaxed, I was so surprised! Her sisters were there to help her get ready, as well as a few of her best gals. They celebrated with champagne and her father snuck in for a really sweet moment. I just love first looks with dads. They.are.the.best!
Meanwhile, Greg and the boys hung out at the Gingerman and enjoyed their huge assortment of draft beers. Talk about a pretty sweet little lead up to getting married, right?
Katelyn and Greg wanted to have a first look at Marty Leonard Chapel and it may have been one of the sweetest I have ever seen. They are just beyond meant for each other. Their ceremony was lit by candles and the romantic lighting that is famous in winter weddings at Marty Leonard Chapel and performed by their deacon who took a moment to include friends and family in Katelyn and Greg’s ceremony. Afterwards, we took advantage of the chapel and took some pretty epic dramatic romantics of the two of them. Then off we went to party it up!
Their reception was held at the YWCA and coordinated beautifully by Amy Lacey with Amy Lacey Weddings. She was a fabulous planner. The space was elegant with gold and pink details and little bits of Katelyn & Greg’s relationship sprinkled at each table. They had a unique guestbook and asked guests to sign christmas ornaments for them, loved it!!! The party was a wild, family friendly celebration of their closest loved ones; complete with glow-sticks, whistles, and party hats. They ended the night with a private sweetheart dance and left in an epic streamer popper exit. I am so honored to have been a part of their day and I can’t wait to see what their marriage has in store. Congratulation Katelyn and Greg!!!!
