In Texas, you never know what you’re going to get weather wise. My husband and I got married in December of 2016, just five days before Christmas and it was in the high sixties. For Leah and Spencer’s wedding, rain was in the forecast but thankfully for us, it was just a light mist. The couple started off the day getting ready at The Omni Fort Worth Hotel. It’s always a good sight to walk in and see Jennifer Trotter and her girls with Lip Service Makeup working their magic. Every time, we exchange such a sweet hug and it never fails I am blown away with the masterpiece they’ve created for these girls with their hair and makeup. It truly is such an art!! Leah wanted a first look with both her dad and Spencer, and what better location than on The Omni Fort Worth’s terrace garden? I loved seeing the reaction from both of the men that mean so much to her! Once it was time, we headed over to the Marty Leonard Chapel, where the couple would soon say their vows to one another. It was a gorgeous ceremony in a beautiful location! I had never photographed an event at the PalmWood Events in Downtown Fort Worth, but today I was getting that chance to. And better yet, it was on their stunning terrace!! It was such a treat to see all of the sweet people on staff there and enjoy such a beautiful afternoon capturing the special day this was for Leah, Spencer, and their family and friends.
