Sam and Alex’s St. Patrick Cathedral and Marquis on Magnolia Fort Worth wedding was wonderful! The bride and groom looked spectacular! Sam looked beautiful in her wedding gown from Bliss Bridal Salon and Alex looked very handsome in his uniform. Sam was even able to customize her gown to her liking by adding a light pink sash and lace sleeves. A vintage theme could be seen throughout the day. Sam’s hair and makeup, as well as her bridesmaid’s, was made to look vintage. Her bridesmaids wore ivory knee length dresses with a light pink petticoat underneath. Each girl carried a different set of pink flowers, put together by the fabulous Justine at Justine’s Flowers.
St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Fort Worth is just breathtaking! The outer portion of the building is really beautiful and it’s just as beautiful inside. The stained glass windows are surely a sight to behold. The glass is full of such color and made a wonderful backdrop for Sam and Alex’s ceremony. The reception followed at the Marquis on Magnolia where the bride and groom had a fun photo booth set up, along with greenery centerpieces and candles on the cocktail tables. The first dance was joyous to watch! The bride and groom were all smiles! The DJ strictly played oldies and jazz music. The bride and groom chose to have their meal served family style with traditional New Orleans dishes such as shrimp and grits, red beans and rice and étouffée. After dinner, a coffee and hot chocolate bar was set up with candies, marshmallows and flavored syrups. For the garter toss, a bridesmaid and a groomsmen went around collecting bets in mason jars labeled, “Above the Knee,” and “Below the Knee.” The couple ended the evening with photos in their photo booth before heading out! Congratulations to Sam and Alex on a long and happy life together!
