Today is a monumental day for the United States as Same-Sex Marriage is now considered legal in all 50 states, thanks to the legislature of our Supreme Court. I thought, what better way to celebrate than to share a special wedding day. A day that two women committed their lives to each other and opened their arms for their friends and family to share in their celebration. Rashondra & Jamee’s 809 Vickery wedding day was one for the books, literally! Jamee and Ro met in high school and have been an unstoppable force ever since. They had been waiting for this day for years! I just knew from the moment we met that we would get along swimmingly. Both of these ladies chose an incredible cast for their wedding day lineup and each and every one made this day absolutely beautiful! They had planned on an outdoor ceremony at 809 but unfortunately the weather had a different plan for them. The staff at 809 and their wonderful planner, Carrie from Plum Pineapple Events made sure the transition went smoothly as we moved everything indoors. It was an emotional moment as Ro’s nephew walked her down the aisle and Jamee’s father gave her away. We partied late into the evening, cut the gorgeous wedding cake of Ro’s & the Horror themed wedding cake of Jamee’s. The atmosphere that filled the night was bright and full of excitement and love. It really was a fabulous night and an absolute wonder to witness. They ended their evening in with dancing and sparklers, it was a perfect ending to a perfect day
