I will always remember this session for a couple of reasons. The first one being that I had such a great time with Haley & Daniel. They are so fun to be around and we had some really sweet conversations. The second reason I will always remember this session is because over the course of the session, they weather changed drastically on us and by the end, we had huge thunderstorm clouds over us. We had no idea it was coming! Thankfully though, it brought an incredible cool breeze! Lastly, I will always remember this session because, while attempting to get all of the gorgeous shots you see below there in the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, I got chiggers…
I woke up the next morning after the session itching so bad!! I showed my husband John, all of the bites around my waistline and in some “hidden areas” if you know what I mean… John grew up in the country, so he immediately knew it was chiggers. I reached out to Haley to see if they got them as well, and she told me that only Daniel had them. How crazy is that?!? Thankfully within a week, with lots of topical medicines, the itching had subsided and the chiggers bite markings have slowly gone away. If there’s anything I learned here, it’s to wear bug spray!!
Luckily this session and these two love birds were completely worth it and I cannot wait to photograph their newly dated wedding (thanks to COVID) this coming winter! We’re going to have such a great time! Until then, lots of love, Hayle!!!
