My heart goes out to all of the couples who have had to postpone or cancel their wedding due to the Coronavirus. I cannot imagine how stressful this season has been for all of you. With that being said, here is one of my sweet couples, Betsy & Michael. They, like many others were affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and were forced to make the tough decision of postponing their wedding. However, these two still wanted to get married on their wedding day and planned to have a bigger celebration later on with their family and friends.
When Betsy & Michael asked me to photograph the intimate ceremony that would be held at her parent’s house, I felt so honored. What a crazy time in this world and I had the opportunity to photograph such a special moment for them and their families. They truly tried to make the best out of this unfortunate situation. Betsy’s mom completely transformed her backyard into a cute wedding ceremony & reception space. They rented such beautiful pieces from Loot Rentals and I think it turned out incredible!!
As usual, Betsy looked absolutely stunning, rocking her gown from Stardust Celebrations and Michael looked so handsome in his sharp suit. This couple shared a first look before such a big moment and it was so sweet to see them pause with each other beforehand. Their guests were invited to watch the ceremony live and it made me truly appreciate technology all the more. Of course it has its’ downfalls, but what a better time than 2020 to have a pandemic where the world can still be connected?! It was such a privilege photographing and getting to know these two and their families. I cannot wait for next spring to celebrate on a larger scale with the rest of their loved ones. Until then, lots of love, Hayle!!
