I’m so excited to be sharing these Klyde Warren Park and White Rock Lake engagement portraits of Jen and Norb! We had such a fun time photographing at these locations. On the Sunday we photographed, the forecast said rain and it was pretty cloudy. But that absolutely worked in our favor! The usually bustling park was pretty empty and we were able to photograph without people unintentionally photo-bombing us! And the sun was nice enough to come out a little bit while we were there. Absolutely perfect! Jen and Norb are getting married in St. Louis next September. They originally met during college at Saint Louis University in St. Louis. They now live in Dallas, Norb’s hometown, and decided to do their engagement photos here!
At Klyde Warren Park, we started off near the East Lawn on Jane’s Lane where the arches and the cute, white hanging lanterns are. We photographed on a bench with Museum Tower in the background and then photographed underneath the arches for a bit. After getting those shots, we moved across the park to the outer wall past Savor off of the Woodall Rodgers service road. This wall is great… even in early December it had some greenery on it! I’m a sucker for ivy so we got some shots here as well! We ended up on the East Lawn again for some photos to get some of the skyline in the background. And let me tell you how incredibly impressed I am by this couple… they got the perfect dip on their FIRST try!!!
We then headed over to White Rock Lake for some natural fall photos. Their sweet pup, Bogart, even joined in for a few! Bogart is one big, beautiful dog! His coloring and coat are a rich reddish brown color. And he’s so soft! I love it when couples want to incorporate their pups in their engagement session! It adds such a nice personal and meaningful touch. We stayed around the lake until the sun started to set and left just before it started raining!
