I have officially channeled my inner secret agent you guys… Both this bride and groom were calling me at separate times with different sets of plans. Shelly wanted to use their portrait session as a means to surprise his girlfriend with a proposal and Atheetha was just trying to plan out the engagement session of her dreams. Thankfully I had spoken with Shelly on multiple occasions what his desires were for this day and boy, were we ready when game day came!
The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is such an incredible location for an outdoor, nature style session. With it’s 66 acres of garden and property, there’s always an abundance of variety when photographing there! Shelly adored the idea of proposing to his sweetheart under the framed arch in the Women’s Garden, so that’s exactly what we did. We began the session like any normal engagement session I would typically photograph; warm up poses, getting to know favorite sides, etc. When it came time for Shelly to propose, I got them set up where we had planned, and then gave him the green light. It was so special to witness and be apart of.
The rest of the session, Atheetha now had a new gorgeous ring to show off! We had a blast explaining to her how we were able to plan it all without her knowing. She was so surprised and incredibly excited! I cannot wait for you all to see their traditional Indian inspired wedding blog post soon! Until then, lots of love, Hayle!!
