Oh my goodness gracious did I LOVE this session! And for a number of reasons. 1. This couple is truly adorable. Their love is apparent when they talk, look at one another and touch one another. 2. They laugh… a lot. Which made our session a blast! There were sweet nothings whispered and lots of joke telling! 3. They are natural posers. They picked up on posing and ended up doing what they needed to before I even opened my mouth. Wow! 4. They made their engagement session UNIQUE by choosing an uncommon location and using props. Lauren and Stephen met during college at Texas A&M University. After graduating, Stephen moved to Houston for work and Lauren back home to Dallas. Instead of choosing either city for their engagements, the couple decided they wanted to go somewhere meaningful to them. When Lauren called me to ask if that would be okay, I jumped at the chance of saying, “Of course!!” West, Texas was really the perfect location for this session and the couple chose it for a number of reasons. Stephen grew up in nearby Abbott and has always loved the small city feel. We were able to fit in the feel of a city by going to downtown West and photographing around there. Then we got a more country feel by going to a field, railroad track and corn field. And my favorite location and the biggest reason why the couple chose this location, the Hejl street sign!!! Stephen’s family has been in the area for generations and there’s a road in West named Hejl Lane. The couple had envisioned this for their engagement session since their engagement! Oh, and one more reason to love this couple… their wedding hashtag is going to be #HejlYea. Seriously, this couple is amazing and I’m so looking forward to being there to capture their wedding day!
